Bedding Pellets

Mallard Creek bedding pellets are made from a 100% softwood pine blend with no additives other than water which results in cleaner, more environmentally friendly bedding. The softwood is stripped of all bark and knots, creating a pellet with a higher absorption rate and a fresh, woodsy aroma. We control the milling process, pressure and moisture, for a softer, quickly absorbing and virtually dust-free pellet. Available in 40-lb. bags or by bulk contained within a silo (see section on Bulk Bedding Pellets).

The above chart is based on a 12’ x 12’ stall and an average price of $4.99* per bag of pellets. Check with your local dealer for the actual cost.  We suggest starting with four to six bags per stall. When trying to decide if bedding pellets are right for you, use the high end of the scale to determine your benefits.

As you can see, Week 1 setup is the most expensive. Because the product is designed to eliminate having to strip the stall there are incredible savings after the initial installation of pellets. We suggest adding one or two bags of bedding to each stall per week, after the first week, to keep the area fresh.
